In just a few days, Congressional Federal Credit Union will reach an important milestone as we complete one of the most significant investments in our history — strengthening the technology that powers your banking experience today while building the foundation to serve you even better in the future.
For more than 70 years, Congressional has earned the trust of those we serve by continually evolving to meet the changing needs of our members. Our Technology Modernization is the next step in that journey.
Our focus has never been the technology itself. It has always been about creating a better experience for you.
That commitment has guided every decision we've made along the way. By investing in a modern banking platform, we're creating a stronger foundation that will allow us to serve you more efficiently, introduce new digital capabilities more quickly, strengthen security and reliability, and create a simpler, more connected experience across the ways you choose to bank with us.
Just as importantly, it gives our employees better tools and resources so they can spend less time navigating systems and more time focused on what matters most — serving you.
Our Technology Modernization Period will take place August 29 - 31.
As we've shared over the past several months, our Technology Transition will take place August 29 – 31. During portions of the transition period, some services will be temporarily unavailable as we complete this important work.
We've carefully planned, tested, and trained for every aspect of the transition, with focus on minimizing disruption and making the experience as smooth, secure, and successful as possible for you.
And throughout the transition period, our team will be here for you.
While our branches and Contact Center will be closed for normal business on Monday, August 31, employees will still be available to answer questions and provide guidance as we prepare to resume full service on Tuesday, September 1.
For most members, there's nothing you need to do.
If you do have payments, deposits, transfers, or other financial activity you plan to initiate during the transition, we encourage you to visit our Technology Modernization Resource Center. There you'll find the latest service availability, important dates, answers to frequently asked questions and helpful information if you need to plan ahead. Previously scheduled activity, including direct deposits, payroll, payments, and transfers, will not be affected and will continue to process as normal.
This Technology Modernization isn't the finish line. It's the beginning of a stronger foundation that will help us deliver simpler, more personalized, and more responsive banking experiences — while allowing us to introduce new capabilities and innovations more quickly.
Throughout this journey, your trust has been our greatest responsibility. As we enter this next chapter together, that responsibility remains at the heart of every decision we make.
Thank you for your confidence in Congressional and for the privilege of serving you. We look forward to welcoming you to what comes next — and continuing to create A New Standard of Belonging™.
With gratitude,
