What we are doing:
Emergency Member Relief

  • Relief Line of Credit - available to help our current members meet immediate needs. This low rate loan is focused on helping you with your cash needs due to the pandemic. Full details of this loan program are available through our Pandemic Relief Program.
  • Skip-A-Pay - The Credit Union offers Skip-A-Pays on most personal loans, credit cards and car loans. To get started, contact us at Email@CongressionalFCU.org or call us at 800-491-2328 option 4.
  • Fees - If you need to access funds in a share certificate, we can waive any early withdrawal penalties. The number of fee free out-of-network ATM uses has been doubled to 10 per month1. As always, you have unlimited access to nearly 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP ATMs nationwide.

1Out-of-Network surcharges may be imposed by third party ATM operators. No fees will be imposed by CFCU on the first 10 out-of-network ATM transactions per month.

Protecting Your Savings

  • Feel confident that your money is safe, sound and here when you need it at Congressional Federal. Your deposits are insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
  • Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
  • CFCU’s financial positioning and member equity are stronger than ever:  Assets grew to over $1 billion this February.

Keeping our members and employees safe

  • Congressional Federal’s top priority is keeping our workplace safe and free from infection, to ensure that CFCU continues to provide service to our members.
  • The Rayburn branch has been temporarily closed to help reduce the risk of our employees and members being exposed to the coronavirus. Members can receive service at the Capitol branch when the U.S. House of Representatives is in session, and at the Longworth, Ford and Oakton branches by appointment.
  • All business travel that might have put employees at risk has been cancelled and visits to our headquarters have been restricted.
  • The majority of our meetings are being conducted electronically. Social distancing guidelines have been implemented, including enabling employees to work remotely where possible.
  • Employees are being instructed to stay home if they are not feeling well, and have been provided with the CDC’s guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus.

Uninterrupted access to your accounts

What can you do?

  • If you are not feeling well, have traveled outside the country in the past two weeks, or otherwise have been exposed to COVID-19, please avoid visiting a branch.
