3) Submit your application by mail, securely online, fax or visit one of our branches.
4) Deposit at least $5 to start your child’s account.

A $5 minimum deposit is required to open; available balance will be $45. Limit one bonus per youth account. Eligible for minors under 18 who have not previously been members of Congressional Federal Credit Union. The Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for the Congressional Kids and Congressional Freedom Savings Accounts is 0.15% as of July 1, 2025.
