Our wire service allows you to transfer your money safely and quickly. Plus, we’ll transfer money anywhere around the world.

Outgoing Wires
An outgoing wire allows you to send money from your Congressional FCU account to another financial institution.

Domestic Outgoing Wires
  • $10 fee to send a domestic wire
  • All domestic wires must be received and verified by 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday - Friday, to be processed the same day.
 
Foreign Outgoing Wires
  • $40 fee to send an international or foreign wire
  • All international wires must be received and verified by 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday - Friday, to be processed the same day.
  • These wires are sent in U.S. Dollars.


How to Send an Outgoing Wire
To send a domestic or foreign outgoing wire, you will need to complete a Wire Form. These forms are available at all Congressional FCU branches or you may telephone us. Please have the below information available to complete the Wire Form.

  • The name of the institution the funds will be wired to
  • The institution’s city, state, and telephone number
  • The institution’s ABA routing number
  • Name of the account holder at the receiving institution
  • The account number the funds will be credited to

Be sure to verify the transfer instructions with the person receiving the wire.

Incoming Wires
Domestic and foreign incoming wires allow other institutions to transfer money directly to your Congressional FCU account. Your Credit Union does not charge for incoming wires, however the sender might charge a transfer fee.

How to Send an Incoming Wire
Contact the institution that will be transferring funds to your Congressional FCU account. You will want to review their wire procedures. Below is the information that the other institution will need to complete the transfer. Contact us if you have any questions.
