Privacy Statement

Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union is owned by its members and run by a board of directors that you elect. Your financial security is a top priority of this Credit Union. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 requires us to give you this privacy notice explaining how we collect, use and safeguard your personal financial information. Information We Collect and Disclose About You
With the exception that no consumer credit report information shall be disclosed, the Credit Union may collect and may disclose the following kinds of nonpublic personal information about you:

  • Information we receive from you on membership and loan applications and other forms;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others;
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency;
  • Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms, such as your current or past employers or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions; and
  • Information collected from an internet collection device ("cookie").

With the exception that we do not disclose any consumer credit report information, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements and to our affiliated third party financial service providers, which provide mortgage and financial services. To protect your privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell to other third parties the information we provide to them.

We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of the Credit Union, follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of our financial records.

We do not share nonpublic personal information about our former members except as permitted by law.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to employees, our Board of Directors and the Credit Union's Supervisory Committee. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
