Protect Your Pin
Congressional FCU will never ask you for
your credit card or check card PIN (personal identification number).
We won't ask through email. We won't ask at our web site when you
log on to your account. We will never ask you to give us your PIN
in order to verify your identity. Your PIN is for you, and you
alone, to use at ATMs and to pay for purchases at retail locations
using the merchant's keypad. Otherwise, don't give out your PIN!
Crooks use your PIN to access your financial accounts. If you encounter
a web site or receive an email that asks for your PIN, contact
us immediately at (800) 491-CFCU.

Watch Your Credit Report for Fraudulent Activity
In
some cases, not enough personal information is compromised
to lead to identity theft. However, you must remain diligent
in watching your credit report to quickly identify any
fraudulent activity. All of the credit reporting
agencies offer services that allow you to monitor your credit report.
