Protect Your Pin
Congressional FCU will never ask you for your credit card or check card PIN (personal identification number). We won't ask through email. We won't ask at our web site when you log on to your account. We will never ask you to give us your PIN in order to verify your identity. Your PIN is for you, and you alone, to use at ATMs and to pay for purchases at retail locations using the merchant's keypad. Otherwise, don't give out your PIN! Crooks use your PIN to access your financial accounts. If you encounter a web site or receive an email that asks for your PIN, contact us immediately at (800) 491-CFCU.

Visa Scam Alert
A new financial fraud scam targeting Visa Check Cards and Credit Cards has surfaced. The scam occurs via the telephone. The caller dupes the victim into providing key information that will enable the caller to make purchases using the victim's Visa card. Travel Alert
With identity theft growing rapidly overseas, Visa card issuers are taking additional security measures with foreign transactions. These transactions, using either the Visa Check Card or Visa Credit Card, are specially monitored for fraudulent activity. Watch Your Credit Report for Fraudulent Activity
In some cases, not enough personal information is compromised to lead to identity theft. However, you must remain diligent in watching your credit report to quickly identify any fraudulent activity. All of the credit reporting agencies offer services that allow you to monitor your credit report.
